Random Team Generator

Paste your players, choose the number of teams, and get a random split nobody can argue with. The shuffle is cryptographically random and the deal is round-robin, so team sizes stay as even as the math allows. Re-shuffle until kickoff, then copy the teams to the group chat.

Frequently asked questions

How does the team generator keep teams even?

It shuffles the full list with a cryptographic Fisher–Yates shuffle, then deals names round-robin — one to each team in turn. With 13 players in 3 teams you'll get 5/4/4: never more than one player difference.

Can I balance teams by skill?

The generator is deliberately pure-random — that's what makes it argument-proof. For skill balancing, a common trick: split your strongest players evenly by hand first, then paste everyone else and randomize the rest.

How many players and teams does it support?

Two to eight teams, and as many players as you can paste — a whole PE class or an entire office works fine. Each team gets its own colour card you can screenshot or copy as text.
